Photoshop Intro

Photoshop Process First I found HD images from some of my favourite games such as Half-Life, Smash Bros, and Fire Emblem. Then I decided to start by putting in the dogfight image from Battlefield 1 which I thought would make a good background. I tweaked with it's size by holding down shift so it kept the aspect ratio until it fit. Then I took another image, cropped it with the crop tool by hitting make selection and holding down ctrl + z to inverse the selection and delete what I don't want. I repeated the process until I had finished putting in all the pictures. I then used the rectangle tool to make long rectangles that act as borders in between the slides. I made them blue with a black border so they stand out. Finally I decided to touch up my collage by adding in some extra details such as a lens flare on the left and a Game Design 10 title on the right. And voila my collage was done.

Video Games The Movie

1. What are some of the reasons video games were successful? What makes a game popular? Video games like forms of media suspend our disbelief by allowing us to not just watch but do things that are not possible in real life. They are a form of entertainment which humans have always desired since the dawn of time. They allow us to tell stories in an interactive style that can branch in many directions unlike linear movie and books. What are some of the reasons why the video game industry crashed in the 1980s? The video game companies at the time thought they were invincible including the top dog at the time Atari, and pumped out game after game hoping to make profits. New passionless developers sprung up daily hoping to take a piece of the gaming  monopoly which was being flooded...

Kodu Intro

Apples Game Game Overview Programming for Kodu Programming for CPU Q & A: 1. Did you have any difficulties with your programming? What was the issue? How did you solve it? I didn't have much issues with the programming besides in figuring out how the scoring system works as the tutorial had unclear instructions. The game said that I had to add the programming When: Scored 5 Points Red, Do: Game End. But that was not possible as I had to put in scored red first and then you are only allowed to put in equation signs. I solved this problem by using critical thinking and realising that Scored Points 5 Red is the same as Scored Red Equals 5 Points which I'm able to do. 2. Did the student who played your game have any suggestions for your game that you implemented? The student said the game was good but frustrating due to the narrow paths and all the holes, he said he has no suggestions and that I should keep the game the same. It was fun and challengi...
